A Child Victim's Bill of Rights
  • I have the right to feel safe and secure – to know that whatever violence or crime was done against me will not be allowed to continue.
  • I have the right to be healthy – to know that if I am sick or injured, I will be properly cared for.

  • I have the right to be fed – to know that I won’t have to be hungry, and that the food I receive is clean and good for me.
  • I have the right to be clothed – to know that I will have clean and decent clothing to wear at all times.

  • I have the right to be clean – to know that I won’t smell bad from not being bathed, and I won’t get sick from living in filth.
  • I have the right to decent shelter – to know that I will be protected from the elements.

  • I have the right to be educated – to learn what I need to know, so I can reach my full potential.
  • I have the right to be loved – to know that the person or people responsible for me also care for me, as a person, because . . .

I AM WORTHWHILE.
